My 6 communities that I am involved in:
#1 School : for me and princess
#2 Church
#3 Riding the subway
#4 Voting
#5 Charity Work
#6 Shopping
School is a community that matters to me, because I'm getting an education. It's important because without knowledge your nothing. Mine and my daughter's future can be more comfortable and stable after a while. School matters because it expands my brain it teaches me current and past events , that I can teach my children one day. When you further your education there are better jobs that awaits you when your finished.
Charity work and church is a tie. Church matters to me because I keep my faith.I believe in God, there for I am. Just by waking up opening up my eyes it because of the all mighty.Growing up in church I was taught that when you help other you receive good in return. That's where my charity work comes to play.Just helping others whether it's feeding or clothing others puts a smile on my face. I feel deep down in my soul that I did a good deed and even though I don't look for things in return , when I may need I always am provided for. That's what Church and Charity work means to me.
Church & Charity Work:
1. What primary role (s) do you play in that community? The role I play in church is being of the attendants there praising God.The role I play in my Charity work is I either pack or cook and feed people, give away clothes so someone can put clothes on their back and be worm.
2.What are the most important things you get from that community? The important thing that I get from church is feeling belong and so happy and joyous just being there and to hear the good word. The important thing that I get from charity work is that I'm doing something wonderful for someone else. Making a difference and making someone else feel at ease changing their life that they will never forget.
3. What are some of the problems, issues,or tensions in that community? The problem with a lot of churches these days is that the higher people like the pastors and deacons be scamming people out of their money. Example: when your putting money in the offering plate they use it to buy cars, house nice expensive things for them and their family when that money is for building the church, repairs be light and gas bills etc. they use the money for their own selfish needs. The problem with the charity work helping others is that its so many people in need and once again you have people that is trying to take advantage of your generosity, by lying saying or acting that they are in need when they are really not. As a person who loves to give its hard to trust so it can become very difficult at times. I guess at the end of the day you just have to say to yourself well i hope that they do good with whatever you gave or did for them.
